Well hockey requires lots of endurance and muscle. So, what works is combing the two together. Do normal work outs, then every 10 mins do this one that I personally find the best for endurance and strength. Get a pull up bar, do a pull up, hop down to the grown do a push up, get back up do a pull up, go back on ground do a push up. I know this seems like a silly exercise, but it certainly does help, you will see how hard it is when you are at about 20 pulls ups if you last that long.

To lose some of the weight just do some cardio, that is afterall it’s main purpose. For food to eat you have to decide on your own, just follow the food pyramid and don’t overdo the calories.
