What is covered in the blood tests for a physical?

I know the question has been asked of what they do during a physical, however, I already know this by having one. What I don’t know is exactly what they test for when they take my blood. I know the basics is for aids, diabetes, general metabolism disorders, but what about other detailed STD tests, rare blood disorders, etc? Anyone know?
*in response to posted answer* Thanks for replying, the purpose of the physical was for the fire department. I know they tested me for aids, and I would figure they would test me for other blood born pathogents as EMT basic is required for Idaho firemen. Does anyone know what specifics they test for?

I am planning on smoking this week, i havent smoke for a while so i dont know how long it stays in my system. I am going to be having surgery in about 3 weeks, and my doctor wants blood tests done and a urine sample in about 2 weeeks. Now, is there a certain test done to check for marijuana? Will it show up in my blood tests or urine sample?

My husband received blood tests back yesterday.They show that he has a low blood count and also low sodium.His doctor is having the tests repeated as he was not well at the time that the tests were taken.What could be a reason for the low blood count and the sodium?Thanks.
